<description>If you are a WSJ subscriber, speak loudly with your dollars. Sign our petition to the Dow Jones Shareholders pledging to cancel your Journal subscription should the sale go through:

<description>Sign our petition and say 'no' to News Corp purchase of Dow Jones/WSJ.

http://saynotofox.com/?page_id=2

DOW JONES SHAREHOLDERS SHOULD REJECT NEWS CORP BID

Dow Jones CEO Richard Zannino is reported to have said in a memo that Dow Jones has “a very bright future as an independent company should the News Corp. bid not come to pass.” Let that be the case.

We, the endorsers of this petition, urge the Bancroft family and other Dow Jones shareholders to reject News Corporation’s bid for Dow Jones.

We believe that the journalistic quality of The Wall Street Journal and other Dow Jones media properties would suffer under News Corp. ownership.

We believe that the critical role of an independent and free press in American democracy is suffering under the growing consolidation of media outlets by fewer and fewer corporations, whose allegiance is more to shareholders than to readers, listeners and viewers.

And we support the efforts of any Dow Jones director to identify and propose alternatives to the News Corp. bid.

We ask the Bancroft family and other Dow Jones shareholders to reject News Corp’s bid.

There is more at stake here than profit.
